"Discover the Astonishingly Powerful Secrets of the Most Sought-After... Most Knowledgeable... And Most Respected Interviewers in the World...

And Begin Right Away To Leverage Expertise by Conducting Top-Notch, Content-Rich Interviews for Your Own High-Demand, Profit-Pulling Products"

From The Desk of Heather Vale
Thursday, 11:03am

It was a nightmare.

A terrible nightmare I wouldn't soon forget. It didn't even feel like what I was watching was real... the girl on screen looked like some kind of scared mouse trying to pretend the camera wasn't there.

It was the worst interview I had ever seen in my life. No passion. No interest. No pizazz. No knowledge.

It seemed obvious to me that the interviewer had no right to be interviewing anybody.

And that interviewer was me.

Watching the first interview I ever did was the most devastating thing I had ever done in my life... and the most powerful thing I could be doing at that moment.

Because just then...

"Something important clicked..."

There had to be more to it than this. It couldn't just be about reading a list of questions off a page and waiting for the other person to fill in the blanks.

I had just conducted a questionnaire. I looked bored. I didn't care, and it was obvious.

Nobody cares about questionnaires.

Nobody will listen to an interviewer who doesn't know what they're doing. Nobody likes walking away from an interview feeling like they didn't learn anything new, that they wasted their time, that they were watching bored people who didn't even like each other.

And churning out that kind of content wasn't good enough for me. If I was going to do this, I was going to do the best job I could.

There was only one solution.

I had to discover...

"The secrets of the world's greatest..."

So I set out to study the best of the best. The top interviewers in the world.

What were they doing right? What were they doing wrong? What could I do the same, and what could I do better?

I discovered the hard way what the number one skill is that all interviewers need to have. And that led me to the truth about talk show hosts.

I analyzed and came up with the Anatomy of a Great Interview... and the Anatomy of a Great Question.

I learned the power of "dead air". And I realized some powerful metaphors that would allow me to take my skills to the next level.

And soon people were saying...

"I had become one of the best!"

Yes. Finally. The toil and study and hard work had paid off.

I had gone from one of the worst interviewers I had ever seen on camera to someone who was told time and time again that I was the best interviewer they had ever been interviewed by.

Hollywood celebrities, top directors, writers, actors, musicians, politicians... they all wanted to be interviewed by me because I had cracked the code.

I knew what made a good interviewer... and I applied it to every interview I did.

Over the past several years I have brought those skills to the internet and become one of the best-known and most respected online interviewers.

"So What Do I Have To Share?"

What does all this mean to you, and why should you care?

Well, what good is it to become the best you can be at something without sharing it so that others can become the best they can be at it too?

I have been asked so many times how I do it that I'm about to let you unwrap all the secrets I have uncovered myself over years of studying and working on my skills.

Interviewing is a sadly overlooked skill. I can't count the number of interviews I've heard and seen that made me cringe almost as badly as when I cringed at my first TV interview. Sometimes it seems that people think anybody can do an interview, and it's the easiest thing in the world.

Well, anyone can ask questions. Anyone can conduct a questionnaire, like I did my first time out. Anyone can get a seasoned expert to share the same stories they share in every inteview; give the same advice they give to every audience. It's almost like you're just giving them a stage to give their standard keynote speech.

And since those experts know what they're doing, they deliver good content. But then, what are you there for? What's the purpose of an interviewer?

What do good interviewers know that bad ones don't?

"What Sets Apart The Bad From The Good?"

A good interviewer digs below the surface. A good interviewer asks questions that bring out new answers, that deliver unique content no other interviewer can get.

A good interviewer goes beyond the first "R" of interviewing relations to build Rapport rather than just get Respect. A great interviewer builds beyond the Rapport to establish Resonance, and that's when the magic happens.

A good interviewer understands that it's not just about the guest; and it's certainly not just about the interviewer. They know when to talk, how much to say, and when to shut up. They know that there is a third element to all interviews that is much more important than the two people carrying on a conversation. They know instinctively that they are not merely conversing, but are creating a new entity.

They know that the resulting content is an equal contribution in energy, but not in amount, between the parties involved in creating it.

And after reading and studying the principles, tools and techniques shared in Interviewing Unwrapped, you'll know what they know and be able to start producing top-notch quality interviews as well, that people want to purchase, listen to, and experience again and again.

Interviewing Unwrapped Book 1

Heather Vale, the Internet Interviewer, releases all her secrets developed and refined over 14 years of offline and online media interviewing.

Discover how to get top-notch profit-pulling content from your interviews for info-products, teleseminars, podcasts or traditional media from start to finish, idea to tracking down to booking the guests, and what to do once you land them.

This manual gives all the comprehensive how-to you need in order to conduct interviews the right way for the best content possible, drawing on a combination of the journalism tradition and marketing how-to, regardless of your model of distribution.

Here's a hint at what you'll unwrap...

What kinds of questions to ask and what to avoid to balance your interview, keep the audience and the interviewee intrigued and thinking, and get the best answers for the best content.

The Three L's that represent questions you should never ask unless you are specifically looking to provoke a certain type of response.

The truth about top interviewing myths that you have been programmed to believe, and that will harm your efforts if you're not aware of them.

How much "grilling" is really going on in most interviews, and when to balance your interview "meal" with questions that are shaken, stirred, gently tossed or over-easy.

The three kinds of "tough questions" and how to know when to ask each and when to avoid them.

The four factors that make a good thought-provoking question, and the one thing you must do to pull it off with the swiftness of turning on a light switch in your interviewee's brain.

The power of the "Columbo" question, and why you shouldn't be afraid to ask a dumb question at the right time.

Whether introverts or extroverts make the best interviewers, and what skills you need to work on to catch up with the other type.

How to keep control of the interview and steer it in the direction you want it to go while following the leads to unique content that most interviewers miss out on.

How to develop rapport with your guest even when coming into the interview cold, and how to take that rapport to the next level of the Three R's of Interviewing Relations.

How to prepare for your interviews, what not to do that could blow the whole thing, and how to handle that preparation when you're on.

How to bring your interview back on track if you get lost and don't know what to ask next.

How to know whether you're interviewing, conducting a questionnaire, or carrying on a conversation, and which of the three gets the most buzz-worthy and quality content every time!

The #1 skill required to be a top interviewer that 99% of people never do, and a powerful literary metaphor to help you remember it and pay attention to it every time.

How to choose a Topic, Purpose and Focus to determine the most effective combination of what you'll cover, as well as why and how.

How to get top-name guests to want to be interviewed by you, even if they don't yet know who you are.

How to set up your phone for recording your interviews and what to do with the recordings once they're done to ensure the best quality possible.

And so much more!

David Garfinkel of The World Copywriting Institute explains how online interviews relate to offline media, how copywriting and journalism overlap, the real purpose of a sales pitch and how much content to deliver before you get there, the three keys for asking a good question and getting a good answer, and how flexible you should be with your style.

Willie Crawford of The Internet Marketing Inner Circle shares how he gets big-name guests to reveal personal information, the number one secret to ensuring you get what you want from the interview, what kind of questions to ask for the best content, how much preparation you should do, and how to handle it when your interviewee gets thrown a curve ball.

Martin Wales of Customer Catcher Radio reveals how to handle the content delivery when the interview has different purposes, how to ensure you meet the two most important goals in every interview, how to avoid the biggest mistake beginner interviewers make that can cost you your audience, what your relationship to the listeners must be, and how to handle it when an unexpected problem arises.

Lou D'Alo of Teleseminar Fortunes reveals the profit potential teleseminars can add to any business or marketing plan, what you need to communicate to your audience to have an effective call that most people overlook, how to straddle the fine line between sales and content calls, how to involve your audience for a viral effect, the very best formula for a 60-minute teleseminar, and how to inject social proof for higher sales.
